There Is No Need To Be Afraid Luke 12:7

There Is No Need To Be Afraid (Luke 12:7)

At one time or the other, we find ourselves in situations that naturally instil fear. The loss of a loved one, unexpected news of auto crash, the diagnosis of a terminal disease and uncertainty about tomorrow are some of the instances that could get us afraid. But Jesus reminds us today that there is no need to be afraid because you have a great worth before God our Father. God will not just watch, fold his hands, and do nothing about your situation.

Oh soldier of Christ, be conscious of who you are and be grateful to God. St Paul in his letter to the Ephesians highlights who we are before God. We are saints blessed with every spiritual blessings of heaven in Christ, chosen before the foundation of the world and made adopted children of God. God revealed to us the mystery of his will, chose us to praise his glory and stamped us with the seal of the Holy Spirit to be his heritage (See Eph. 1:1-14). That is our worth before God. Why should you be afraid?

Padre Pio says: “Pray, hope and do not worry. Worry is meaningless, God is merciful, and he will answer your prayers.” Do not be afraid. God will take care of you!

Almighty Father, I praise you for the wonder of my being. I lay at your feet all my fears and worries. Your mighty arm shall lead, guide, and provide for me in the name of Jesus. Amen.
