TO SERVE IS BETTER
It has been established that a major purpose of God’s Blessing is service to God and humanity. God blesses His children so they can be positioned better to serve Him. This is because poverty is a distraction. Exodus 23:25 says, "And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee".
So, the blessing of God provides supernatural supply that can be conveniently combined with the worship and service of God. When God blesses you, you should not come to a point of influence where you become too big to come to church or serve God. When God blesses you and you come to a point where you become too big to serve Him, you have decided to cut yourself off from the Source of that Blessing.
There are people who have stopped going to church because of the little money God gave to them. With that little money, the man decided to marry two additional wives, and get three girl friends; and he can relate with all the girls at the same time. One of his wives may be in Paris, the second one in London and the third one in New York. Imagine that! He is managing three homes in three different countries situated on two different continents at the same time.
On the other hand, there are people who God has blessed abundantly, but they have refused to allow the blessing to become a hindrance to their service to God. There are brothers in church who are very rich, yet, continue to stand in church to serve God as ushers. My counsel is, do not allow the Blessing of God to be a hindrance to your service to God.
