SCRIPTURE: Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. Luke 5:4, 6.

It has been confirmed that hearing God is critical to life and destiny fulfillment. Hearing God is a vital key to maximising a new season. It is very important to find out from God to know what He wants you to do in this New Year. This is because except the Lord builds a house, the labourers labour in vain (Psalm 127:1). God is committed to fulfilling what He reveals to you. This is one reason why it is necessary to find out from God, and to commit your ways to Him in this New Year.

Now, what is the blessing of seeking God’s direction in this New Year?

1. Termination of Frustration.

Divine direction terminates frustrations. All the frustrations programmed into the year by the devil for you can be terminated as you seek God’s direction. Having laboured all night and caught nothing, Peter was frustrated. He started washing his nets to go home, then Jesus brought divine direction, and his frustration was terminated (Luke 5).

2. Abundance of Provision

To access divine provisions this year, you must seek divine direction. Psalm 23 reveals that when God gives you direction or instruction, He leads you into abundance and plentifulness. For instance, in Luke 5:4-5, Peter caught plenty fishes because he followed divine direction.

3. The exceeding of Expectations.

When you receive and obey divine direction, your expectations can be exceeded. Peter was trying to get just a handful of fishes, but when he listened to and followed divine instruction, what he saw was beyond what he bargained for. He had to call others to assist him with the breakthrough.

Beloved, I decree that in this New Year, 2024, your expectations shall be exceeded in Jesus’ Name.
